About Me.
My name is Jillian, but you can call me Jill!
I grew up in a low-income family in Pawtucket, Rhode Island with two full-time working parents and two older sisters. I have always held a deep love for both science and art, and I believe that both media are stronger for their inclusion of the other. The goal of my work is to make the world of science more accessible to people like myself who the field isn't as accessible towards.
Education

With the guidance and support of Dr Ramsay, I created a custom Individualized Graduate Study Program in Comparative Anatomy and Biological Visualization, where I could use my art to aid my study of shark anatomy and biomechanics.
2021-2025
BS in Biology
Rhode Island College
Rhode Island College (RIC) fostered my love of science and offered me many opportunities to explore my career options. Here, I worked in the Maia Fish Biomechanics Lab for 4 semesters and joined the Ramsay Shark Biomechanics Lab in my final semester.

At JMW, I developed my skills as a studio artist and developed my love of science. I trained in traditional (ink, graphite, charcoal, acrylic paint, watercolor) media as well as digital.
